Join us for our 5th summer serving with Open Door Ministries.
| This summer, Thursday, May 30 – Sunday, June 2, PEPC Middle Schoolers and leaders, are headed to Denver to serve alongside Open Door Ministries in their immersive, hands-on program called Urban Immersion. This trip is open to all incoming 6th graders as well as 8th graders moving into high school in the fall.
This opportunity is INCREDIBLE! It’s experiential learning at its finest as we learn how to serve others in Open Door Ministries Urban Immersion training and then we implement what we learn by serving men, women and children experiencing homelessness in our own backyard. Space is very limited this year based on the housing available with ODM! Cost: $239 and includes housing, all meals and transportation. (Students are encouraged to fundraise or volunteer for financial assistance.) * Training provided- how do we serve those in different circumstances? How do we see, know and love others and serve in ways that they need rather than the way we perceive they need and how do we serve when we feel uncomfortable? * Guest Speaker * Evening Worship * Cultural Experiences Required Parents and Participants Meeting: Wednesday, May 8 following youth group at 8pm.
