We’re all going through the same storm but not all of us are in the same boat.” It’s a phrase we’ve been using for the last year as we’ve sought to navigate the challenges of the COVID pandemic with grace. Well, what happens when the storm begins to pass and the boats begin coming back into the harbor? That’s when it’s time to rebuild. Rebuild our life with God. Rebuild our life together as a church family. Rebuild our city and community. So many have been impacted by the trauma of the last year. Some have lost people they loved to the virus. Others have been laid off or lost a business. Still others have felt paralyzed by anxiety and fear. And the beautiful thing about the Body of Christ is that where one of us may be weak, someone else is strong which is why rebuilding together is essential so all boats can make it safely home to shore. Thankfully, we are not the first to engage in work of rebuilding. The people of Israel engaged in this work as well when they returned from exile under the leadership of Ezra and Nehemiah. Join us as we dive into these two books to discover the tools God gives us to help us rebuild around His priorities!
