Treasure These Things • One of the most beautiful lines in the entire Christmas story appears in Luke 2:19 where it says Mary “treasured up all these things in her heart and meditated on them.” Think about everything Mary experienced as she answered God’s call to bring the Son of God into the world. Angelic visitations. The hard journey to Bethlehem. The birth of the Christ child. The visit of the shepherds. It must have been overwhelming and yet it elicited a song of praise known throughout history as the “Magnificat.” Mary’s deep faith is an example for us all. Make sure to invite your friends, family, and neighbors to PEPC this Christmas as we gather with Mary to treasure and meditate on the miracle of the Christmas story once again!
