October Service Projects!

Check out all the Service Projects being offered this month…

HANDYMAN PROJECTS

Handyman Ministry Project 1:
Oct. 5, 12, or 19
Garden Edging:  We have a PEPC couple who needs help with hammering metal edging back in along sidewalk.
Volunteers needed: 4
Tools: 2 or 4 lb hammer/mallet, wood block, gloves (knee protection would be ideal but not required)
Estimated time: 2 1/2 hours

 

Project 1 Sign-Up

Handyman Ministry Project 2:
Date: Oct 5th, 12th or 19th
Misc. “To-Do” list: A single Senior needs help with: Repair exterior flag bracket mount, Paint 3 doors and trims that small dog scratched up, Install door sweep, help replace ceiling return airduct filters, repair downspout extension.
Volunteers needed: 3 (Sage will lead team and have tools)
Tools: Paint clothes, brushes, rags, fine sandpaper
Estimated time:  3 hours

 

Project 2 Sign-Up

Handyman Ministry Project 3: (Projects 3 & 4 are 1/2 block apart and require a rental commercial leaf blower so must both be on Oct. 26th)
Gardening & raking: A single Senior needs help trimming garden plants and two bushes and blowing out and raking pine needles & cones
Volunteers needed: 6-8 needed (plus 1 team leader)
Tools: Rakes (church should have several), bi-pass and lopper pruners, electric trimmer.
Estimated time:  3-4 hours depending on team.

 

Project 3 Sign-Up

Handyman Ministry Project 4: (Projects 3 & 4 are 1/2 block apart and require a rental commercial leaf blower so must both be on Oct. 26th)
Gardening & raking: A Senior couple needs help raking leaves.
Volunteers needed: 6-8 needed (plus 1 team leader)
Tools: Rakes (church should have several),  We need to rent a commercial blower for Project 3 & 4.
Estimated time:  3-4 hours depending on team.

Handyman Ministry Project 5:
Date: October 19th
Senior PEPC lady needs small porch repainted
Volunteers Needed: 4
Tools: Paint clothes, wire brushes, scrapers, paint brushes
Estimated Time: 3 hours
Meet:  9 AM at PEPC parking lot

ORGANIZATION SERVICE PROJECTS

October 12th Legend High School Prayer Walk/ Service Day

PEPC is committed to praying for and supporting our neighborhood schools.  One of the bigger schools in our area is Legend High School. We will cover the school in prayer and clean up around the school grounds. Please meet at Legend High School, 22219 Hilltop Rd, Parker, CO 80138 at 10:00am.

October 14th Open Door Ministries

Middle School/High School students and the entire PEPC congregation has the opportunity to serve in an inter generational Service Project. Arrive at PEPC for check in at 9:30 am and we will depart soon after to serve at Westside Internacionale Church in Denver for the day. We will be tackling yard work, cleaning and organizing projects as well as painting projects at the new church plant (just a little over a year old!). Please bring a bag lunch, water bottle, work gloves and dress to get dirty (and painted!). We will return to PEPC around 3 pm.

October 19th Parker Task Force

The Parker Task Force is dedicated to providing individuals and families in our community with food, limited financial assistance and other support services to help them become self-sufficient. Join us for this service project opportunity as PEPC partners with the Parker Task Force. We will help collect items at the Walmart in Parker to be given to those in need. Please meet at the Parker Walmart, 11101 S Parker Rd, Parker, CO 80134 at your scheduled shift time. Shifts are two hours long.
