About Kids Ministry

Kids Ministry

Thank you for allowing your children to visit the our Kids Ministry!  When you first arrive you will check your child in at the children’s desk in the Main Lobby where they will get a name tag and parent pick-up ticket. On Sunday mornings at the 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM service, your child will begin the service with you because we embrace the idea of families worshiping together.  After the kid’s sermon your kids will be dismissed to go Kids Ministry where their small group leaders will be waiting to greet them in the lobby and take them back to their classrooms.

Your child will be in a classroom with other children the same age, led by our trained volunteers.   Each week they will participate in a biblical lesson and accompanying activities that help them to realize that God’s word is relevant in their lives.   At the beginning of class a strong emphasis is placed on connection with each other, because we know that children learn best when they are in relationships with others.

After the worship service is over you may go and pick up your children their designated classroom. You will be asked to present the parent pick-up ticket you were given at check in.

Our community is such that we encourage and expect you to take part in it. We will ask you to occasionally help out, we will give you tools to engage in conversations with your child about their learning and we will always make ourselves available to you in helping you become your child’s spiritual leader.

Do you want to SERVE on the Kids Ministry Team? Do you want to help disciple our kids on Sunday mornings? The kids are ready and the lesson is prepared! We are always looking for people to help serve.  Our Bible Bucks store is always seeking volunteers as well to run the store just one day a month.

Bible Bucks Store

1st Sunday of month!

Are you newer to our community and wonder what the Bible Bucks store is and how to participate in it?
Each kid (preschool and up) has the opportunity to earn 5 Bible Bucks. Not one but 5!
Here is how:
1. Wear a name tag
2. Bring your Bible
3. Bring a tithing
4. Bring a friend
5. Memorize the Bible verse. It could be the monthly one or the ones from last Sunday
You save all your Bible Bucks for the store! It is filled with bunches of goodies that your kids can buy. This does not only help our littlest disciples learn biblical behavior but also works on teaching money management.

Our Team

Our team is excited to meet you and your children!  It is our mission to partner with you in teaching your children about Jesus.  We are passionate about families and helping you to develop lifelong patterns and routines that will help your family grow spiritually. We are available to meet with you at a park, for coffee around a table of other moms and dads, for lunch one day simply to offer support, advice or hands on ideas about how to be the spiritual leaders that God talks about, in Deuteronomy 6, to your children. If you ever have questions, please feel free to email us HERE.

Orange Curriculum

Kids Ministry takes pride in our Christian-based educational values. We use the Orange Bible Curriculum in all our Sunday school classes. Orange’s message is simple: The Church + Home = Greater Impact. We combine the light of the church (yellow) with the heart of the home (red) to create orange.
Orange provides a monthly theme, memory verse and “bottom line” with fun and interactive songs and motions to help children memorize these important messages. Each week our children are learning a different Bible story and enjoy different crafts and activities to go along with each story.

YOU can get involved too! Download the Orange parent app, Parent Cue, from your Apple or Android app store. The app gives you wonderful ways to engage with your child through what they are learning in the classroom.

MOMS in Prayer

What if you could change the world – not just for today but for generations to come? At Moms in Prayer International, we believe that a mom can be the single greatest force for good in the lives of her children and the children around her. We believe that lives and whole communities are changed forever when moms gather together to pray to the only One who can change a human heart. Moms can make the difference as they reach out to God in prayer – moms just like you. We have two groups that meet, one that prays for school-aged children on Tuesdays and one that prays for adult children that meets on Sundays. For more information please contact Lisa Freyschlag at [email protected]. You can also go to the website at www.MomsInPrayer.org.
