Parents, we are aware of the ever changing guidelines given to us by Tri-county Health Department. We want to keep you updated on our program opening for Fall 2020. We understand that Douglas County has stated they are working to form their own health department, until that is up and running, we are following Tri-county.
Open House scheduled for Aug. 6th:
The information for your class to meet their teacher will be posted on our website, social media, and was sent to you in an email. We will be meeting on the playgroups to respect the social distancing rules. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Our break schedule will remain the same at this time. We will wait to see if DCSD moves their schedule so that we can align ours with theirs.
Checking in your Child:
We have also upgraded our Procare system to QR codes for contactless check in, so please download the new app called Procare Connection. We will no longer be using Kids Reports, the new app will allow us to communicate the same as Kids Reports. Please see the image below of what the app looks like. Please note this app is available on all mobile devices.
When the school year begins, all children will be entering from exterior doors into their classrooms. We can walk you through this process at our open house and there will be signs with the teachers name on the exterior doors. We will be making a video of the teachers, with and without their facial coverings, that will show you how the children will enter the classroom and begin each day. You will also be provided with a map that shows drop-off/pick-up locations for each classroom.
Before Care and Enrichment Care:
In keeping with the Tri-County and state guidelines regarding Covid-19, we are adjusting our hours to start at 8:00 am for Before Care. We are no longer allowed to combine children from different classrooms into the same classroom. The children that attend Before Care will be dropped off at the exterior classroom doors.
As long as face coverings are recommended and not required we will not require children to wear them in the classroom. No masks will be worn during outdoor activity, eating or sleeping. Teachers are not allowed to place face covering on children, so please instruct your child on how to wear a mask if you intend for them to be worn. We are committed to the safety and protection of your children while still maintaining our loving and caring environment.
Below you will find the Covid-19/Pandemic waiver for you to read, sign and return at either open house or the first day of school. The official Covid-19 Decision Tree from Tri-County Health is included for your reference as well.
Please let us know if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you soon.
